What inspired you to launch your own website?

The website is a tool for marketing

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

2010

How did you decide on a name for your website?

I have worked and lived in Locust Lake Village since 1984.

What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?

I've worked with many of the same customers for over twenty years. Most have primary homes and are glad to know there is someone to call on for necessary home maintenance services.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

This business has been my career for 26 years.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

It is a good living, and my customers appreciate my work.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

I'd purchase updated equipement.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

yes.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

nothing out of the ordinary.

What has been your biggest challenge?

maintaining a yesr-round constant. I've adjusted my business to round out the seasons. For e.g. snow removal in the winter months.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

word of mouth.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

it hasn't.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

6 months, but it is not the first site built. A family member is a web designer. I will maintain the site for at least the next 10 years, and then i expect one of my family members to continue.

What do you like about your work?

My customers. I am lucky to work for great families.
