I notice in the post by K.V. that not all the requirements were listed. You also have to get a medical examin and provide a "Medical Qualification Certificate".For some drivers, the young ones this would seem to be pretty much unnecessary and for senior citizens a very good idea. Though it only seems required for your first license and not renewals.
So basically you need to be in good health when you are 15 to get your drivers permits but can be on your death bed and renew it when your 80! It would probably be more sensible to require a written and road test for ever renewal to ensure all drivers on the road are capable.
What would be much more sensible would be a drug and alcohol test before you get your initial license and with ever renewal. If you fail either of those you would be barred from ever obtaining a drivers license again!
Is the war against DUI real or not?
