Do you think the toll plan for I-80 is fair? Why or why not?

No, because with everything else going up in price except paychecks we are losing alot of money then on top of everything they have to add tolls on a heavily used Interstate.

Do you think the toll will impact state police and emergency services on I-80? How?

No i don't think that emergency services will be impacted.

Do you think the I-80 roadway itself will be improved under the plan? Why or why not?

Nope, It will probably stay in the same condition as now and be patched and paved as needed.

Do you think people will take alternative routes to avoid the tolls? What route?

Duh. Why would you pay a toll just for a few miles when an alternative road takes the same amount of time? Or if your traveling farther people won't pay the extra cost just to get where they need to be going.

What do you think will be the biggest negative impact of making I-80 a toll road?

The biggest impact i believe will be the small towns along I-80, like Emlenton, because the little businesses that keep our little town going won't be able to get as many supplies as needed considering all their trucks travel the Interstate.

Idk

Harsh! Independent truckers will probably have to find a different job because theirs won't pay it will cost.

How does it make you feel that the plan is going through even though it was opposed by other politicians in the affected area?

Mad because it will just have a negative impact on communities.

What do you feel is the real reason Rendell chose this action and who will it really benefit the most in your opinion?

Toll I-80 is junk. If you use back roads you can't go as fast. Local businesses will have to close becuase their dilevery trucks have to pay to get on each time!!!!! SOON towns won't be big anymore. Toll I-80 is just waseting more money that could be used on other roads to repair them. Just another way for the state to throw money away. The government thinks its a good idea, when they don't realize it will hurt all local people and businesses.
