Why good office sheeple are never fired

By Lisa at 07/18/07 11:44

, office employees: Office employee hangoutGood office sheeple are never fired because they do exactly the same thing as all the co-workers do who don't get fired. They all act the same way, day in and day out. They pretend to do their work, brown nose the boss, and always stay under the radar.

It would be hard to prevent someone who is an office sheeple from drawing unemployment benefits because they could honestly claim they do the same thing as everyone else, so in effect if you fire them, you would have to fire them ALL.

New Plan to Stop the Unemployment Scammers

By Lisa at 07/05/07 15:37
I read that the PA Department of Labor and Industry has come up with a new way of doing the Unemployment interviews rather than having both the company and the ex-employee fill out the separation forms to determine whether they are eligible.

On a random basis, PA is doing telephone interviews with the employers to give them the chance to tell them why they REALLY got rid of the employee. This could be good or bad depending on which side of the matter you are on. They say they want to increase the accuracy and efficiency of eligibility determinations by eliminating time wasting follow ups expounding on the written informatio that is submitted.

This is your chance, employers, to tell them the real story, since you will be likely providing information directly to the examiner who will decide whether the employee gets the money or not. You can't lie of course, but sometimes the paper forms just don't quite cut the mustard when it comes to lazy, good for nothing employees who try to scam you for the unemployment money.

Increasing Unemployment Benefits for Waitresses

By Lisa at 07/05/07 15:12
Did you know that if you work in a restaurant and receive tips for your services in addition to your regular wage, you can claim those for unemployment too?

Pennsylvania determines that if wages are covered or taxed in accordance with the FUTA (Federal Unemployment Tax Act)and companies have to pay into their unemployment account covering those wages as tips, they are also required to be included in the unemployment wages.

It is important to record all your tips so you can include them when you make your unemployment request and receive a higher payment than if you failed to record them.

Getting unemployment benefits can be fun and easy

By Lisa at 07/03/07 15:27
Did you know that you can quit your job and still draw unemployment for many reasons. There are lists of what you can do and what you can't do as far as determining whether you are eligible for benefits.

You can quit just because you don't like your co-workers, because one of the reasons is the job wasn't what you anticipated. Surely you would anticipate liking your co-workers. So, if you don't, just quit and draw unemployment.

It is unbelievable to me that people can be lazy and good for nothing and draw unemployment benefits. If you have a hangnail file for unemployment.

I was looking at some places that listed eligibility requirements. Do you believe there is actually a SECTION devoted to illegal immigrants!! They can't claim unemployment if they are in the US illegally or are working illegally...but why in the world would an illegal alien even consider such a thing? Of course, at times I think they actually deserve it more than lazy butt US citizens who ARE here legally because they actually may WANT to work and not just get money for nothing. People here in the US take their jobs for granted and do just enough to get by without being noticed by the boss. They let all the little details slide under the deskpad, where they just gather momentum until issues just explode from non attention.
