I just wanted anyone on PA unemployment to be aware of a glitch that is happening right now with filing bi-weekly claims. I filed my two most recent bi-weekly claims on 9/6/09. I checked the site on 9/7 to see if there would be a delay in receiving payment due to the Labor Day holiday and noticed that only the claim for the first week I was to be paid for was on the UE website. I called Teleclaims and the recording told me that my total benefit amount had been paid, even though I have 12 weeks remaining.
I called the UE service center in Harrisburg and was told that I was the third person calling today about that particular problem and that "it should be fixed soon". I was also told that the week that was not appearing to be paid would be fixed and I would receive payment for that benefit week "soon". What I got from the conversation with the rep at UE service center was that until the calls started coming in today, they were totally unaware of the problem.
Anyone who has filed a bi weekly claim within the last few days should check online or call PA Teleclaims to check their benefit payment information to confirm that they are being paid for the weeks they have filed for and are eligible for, Be vigilint and check to be sre that your claim has not accidently been closed out by the state.
