Please give us a short summary of your website?
We are a second time around variety store. Our store is filled with all types of antiques, collectibles, games, cards, pottery, glass, books, movies, trinkets, Disney, holiday, memorabilia, jewelry, and much more.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
We have had a brick and mortar store for years we decided to moved to be closer to family and found that the cost for a brick and mortar store was surprisingly increased, so we went online. We have now been online for 2 years and grow more and more daily.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
Our first web site was on yahoo, but when they went out of the US area, we moved to ebay, once all the fees continued to hike we move over to ecrater and have been there sense.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
We have and collect comic books and decided that a play on the words would make for a great site name.
What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?
We strive to have a wide variety of items, so we add to it daily as well as search for unique and wonderful items to offer to our customers.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
To be a self sufficient store.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
I feel like we are completely balanced.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
I think I would hire a couple of people to come in a few times a week to help me get things listed.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
I feel like I would be able to keep up with any demands that come my way.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
I think lack of time.... I always feel like I didnt get enough done today.
What has been your biggest challenge?
Keeping up with changing marketing campaigns.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
I do a lot of things to boost my site, SEO, Directories, Social Marketing and much more.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
I think that its a bit harder than I thought it would be.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
I will keep the site forever, I keep building it and making it better.
